Who we are
Three research institutions of the Leibniz Association have joined forces in the GWZ - Humanities Centers Berlin: the Center for General Linguistics (ZAS), the Center for Literary and Cultural Research (ZfL) and the Center for Modern Oriental Studies (ZMO). With currently around 220 employees at our two locations in Berlin, we are one of the leading non-university institutions in the field of the humanities. The GWZ have a joint administration, which takes on various tasks of science management. We are looking to fill a position in the Human Resources department as soon as possible.
Personnel clerk
initially temporary for 2 years - full or part-time - up to a maximum of E 11 TVöD Bund

Your tasks with us include
- Preparation and implementation of various personnel measures
- Communication of personnel matters at the interfaces between the Management Board, administration and employees
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts for (continued) employment, including various collective bargaining issues and internship and scholarship agreements
- Recording and maintenance of personnel data and statistics
- Participation in recruitment processes and support with onboarding and offboarding
- Recording absences and creating A1 certificates
- Coordination with external payroll service provider and preparatory and follow-up payroll accounting
What you should bring with you
- Completed commercial vocational training or university degree with a Bachelor's degree, preferably in economics, communications, administrative sciences or psychology
- At least three years of professional experience in a comparable position
- In-depth knowledge of the breadth of labor and collective bargaining law and experience in its application in an academic institution
- Knowledge and skills in the use of ERP systems, ideally MACH and/or DATEV, as well as MS 365 applications
- Careful, structured and reliable way of working
- Ability to work in a team, empathy and communication skills
- strong language skills in German and English
